Default 2009 EZGO RXV front suspension question

I've got a 2009 EZGO RXV and when I roll off a sidewalk or curb the front end sounds and feels like there is no front suspension at all. The rear end absorbs the bumps like I expected. Is this sign it's time to replace them?
Also, I've only seen EZGO front suspension, does any other manufacture make shocks for this cart? Maybe Fox Racing?

My 2008 rxv does not feel like that. It is a solid absorption type feel. Maybe you should remove the front plastic shroud and take a good look up front. Jack the front up so wheels are off the ground. Use jack stands for safety!

I've done that and everything looks normal minus a few small rust pots. I guess I'm expecting too much from these front shocks. I was hoping for more of an umf than a wham when I rolled off the sidewalk. There's gotta be a better solution.

You should go off curb at an angle- one wheel at a time.
On stock carts with no lift, you are probably hitting the frame on the curb.

Thanks for the reply, there's no way I'm hitting the frame. This is just the two front wheels slowly rolling off the sidewalk around 5 inches high. My cart has a 6in spindle lift in the front so clearance isn't an issue. One wheel at a time would be for a lower profile cart or for older folks. I'm a young dad with young kids so we like tossing the cart over humps and bumps while mom isn't riding with us :-)

I agree (asking more than they planned for). They were originally intended for pretty smooth surfaces. I have replaced the front springs with adjustable collars & springs designed for import cars. On the stock strut. They were rear springs, not front springs. It was a real cheapo setup for a car, but worked pretty good for golf cart.

Use care going to softer springs/shocks.
Running fast on a lifted RXV can cause a rollover
If springs and shocks let body roll too much.

We had one at shop with bad spring that was frightening to turn left.

You probably should have gone with the Jakes Long Travel lift kit

HiTechRedNeck, thanks for the heads up! My old '73 Bronco has the same rolling issue because the shocks were worked so bad, so I'm cognizant of that rolling over feeling. My TIG welder should be delivered today so I'm excited to get chopping!
