BOY!!! Ya'll are tough on a gal wanting to have a meaningful conversation with you while...........never mind,

Are you talking engine noise or muffler noise? Big difference how you address each issue.
The wifes Precedent makes more engine noise than muffler so sound deadener helped.

First off anything you do to silence the muffler usually creates backpressure which restricts horsepower so it sounds like options are limited as stated before.
Earplugs
Buy electric cart
Sound deadening material

You can do quite a bit with some of that heat reflective foam insulation from the hardware store.

you can remove the roof and that cuts down on sound level quite a bit.

Harbor Freight has some halfway decent ear muffs for $4 maybe try that.

On a serious note: maybe you could try some Dynamat like they use in automotive applications and put it on the underside of the body. https://www.dynamat.com/

I think it's the engine noise, I got some sound deadening material stuff and will try that.

Thanks to those who gave good responses.

Any update on the quieting efforts? I just bought two gas club cars, coming from an electric and I know this issue is coming.... Thanks!

What can I do? First off the system is intact. Is there a silencer or new system I can put on?

also saw some guy used soundproofing mats inside the engine compartment.

Thanks
Check to see where noise is coming from. After I replaced my starter and clutches my club car is WAY less noisier.
