also notice that the hose that goes in the gas tank doesn't go all the way in the tank. is there suppose to be a pick up or the hose go to the bottom of tank?

So no one can tell me how to take off the drive belt? you can't just slide it out you have to remove something to get it out. I've search all over and can't find anything

Patience my friend. Someone who knows these carts will be along shortly i am sure. Remember, this is a public forum run by it's members, so answers can be untimely to say the least on a rarer cart.

You just simply roll the belt over the edge of the secondary clutch. I used the high quality Dayco HP2008 belt on mine.

Re: 71 HD 3 Wheel won't move
Unfortunately, the older these carts get, the less people there are who want to learn about and drive them.
Like rayhd said, to take the drive belt off you simply start to roll the secondary clutch (the one connected to the axle) while cinching the belt around. Keep rolling that clutch and belt will roll off. From there it's easy. There should be a check valve at the end of your gas line in the tank. This is a one way valve that lets allow gas to flow from the tank to the carb but not the other way which ruins prime. |

Re: 71 HD 3 Wheel won't move
yeah i found that out after i made the post. i got it off the pully but i couldn't get it past the carb and air box so i took the air box off and that gave me enough room to get it off.
sorry for being impatient my kids want to take the cart up to the camp this week end but that does look like that will happen. |

No worries about the impatience, I would have answered as ray did, but not knowing that particular cart, i could not be sure that it was as simple as most other brands.
