Default Tell me about your Lithium Cart and its RANGE.

I’ve been scouring the forum and have found loads of good information regarding lithium conversions, the associated upgraded components, and range. The problem is the information is widely scattered.

I thought it would be a good idea to have a consolidated place where users with lithium conversions could just list their specifics without all of the supporting details.

Battery Pack, Voltage, Cart, Tire Size, Controller, Motor, Typical Load, & real world Range.

This would certainly help me in deciding on an appropriately sized pack so I imagine it would help others also.

I’ll feel petty foolish if this is already posted here. Be nice if it has.

Cart model: China Personal Carrier (SepEx) All stock parts and no Modifications to programming
Controller: Curtis 1268 5403 400amp
Solenoid: Whatever was stock
Motor: XQ-3.8kW 48V
Lift: Home Made 2" to 3" (not sure LOL)
Tires: Carlisle All Trail 22" x 11.00" x 10"
Battery Pack: Allied Lithium 4 x 12v 50ah with Balancer and Allied 15a charger
Cables: 2ga (home made)
Range: TBD new install have not had enough seat time to gather this data
Top Speed: 22 mph
Speed 15% incline: 18 mph
FLA Speed: 19 mph top 13 mph 15% incline

I looked quite a bit as well and there is no one "consolidated" post that has peoples info.
I think it would be great to have this post as a "sticky" and have the folks that have converted to Lithium list their cart/mods/results.
While researching I came across a really good deal and jumped at the opportunity. I figured if it is not enough I will at least know what I am dealing with and have less of a hard time parting with Larger Cash for a more AH Pack.
Shedding 400 lbs or so made such a Dramatic Difference in my cart. Range is the only thing I don't have data on yet. Next week our Camp site opens for the season and I will begin gathering data.

Icon I60L with two roypow 51Ah in parallel, 4 kw motor with Toyota 350a controller. 30 mph with 6000 rpm programmed top speed. Climbs anything at 20+ mph. No idea on range, 3 hours of driving around with two large adults and came home with 60% left.

"Range" depends upon a lot of variables.

--Tire size
--Motor type (torque or speed)
--Terrain to be traveled (hilly, steep hills, flat)
--Terrain specifics like smooth pavement\gravel, dirt\mud, heavy rutted, etc
--Temperature (32 degrees or less will cut battery performance almost in half vs 80 degrees)

That's why I've stated to buy as many amp hours as your wallet can take.

Range: "EDIT" best guess 30 miles will deplete my pack
Top Speed: 22 mph
Speed 15% incline: 18 mph
FLA Speed: 19 mph top 13 mph 15% incline.
Spent the weekend at the camp site. started with a full charge. I do not have actual mileage but my best guess is the site is a 1 mile if you do a full trip around. I did set my low speed switch so it limits the cart to 10 mph. at no point were we full speed.
We drove the cart around about 8 times plus 5 or 6 little not all the way around trips. After an overnight rest my gauge was reading 80% left.
Quick calculations say we got about (conservatively) 10 miles at 20% battery.
I really want a decent Spedo/Odo to correctly see what I am getting.
I realize these numbers will not work for street guys going flat out for miles at a time. but for the light duty campers it should help gauge usage.

Look on the app store for a "bicycle" tracker. The app will show your start point, end point, average speed and the high\low above sea level you have traveled, plus the distance. And you can save every trip.
