Re: Rxv low speed gears
Remember RXV's have no conventional brakes.
Changes to gear ratios affect torque--- which applies to braking as motor IS brake. RXV torque is not affected by"turning up" controller. Torque is not adjustable. Top speed IS programable. Acceleration IS programmable. Changing acceleration setting from low to medium or high gives the illusion of greater torque. |

Re: Rxv low speed gears
Does anyone have the part numbers of the Jacobsen Eclipse 322 48Volt greens mower (19.63-1) gears that fit in an RXV rear end? Thanks in advance for the help.

Re: Rxv low speed gears
Was the gear set $2,000?? I know you said no controller, wiring, electronic, etc upgrades but man I would really consider the factory ezgo 350 amp controller upgrade for $1,300. Plug and play and there is your torque.

Re: Rxv low speed gears
Matt, I believe the entire rear was 2k. Not sure what just the gears cost but I'm watching. I wouldn't mind having another RXV cart but the strain of bigger wheels/tires and the possibility it may damage the very expensive controller have slowed me from pulling the trigger. A lower gear set would be the ticket.

The original poster (fender6l6), did not fully recover the 22% torque lost by his 23" tires, but he did get back about 12% of it, so his net torque loss is 10%. If the tire height was 21" along with the 19.63:1 gears, the net torque loss would only be 1% and with 20" tires there would be a net torque gain of 4%. |

Re: Rxv low speed gears
Anyone know how I can get in contact with Fender6I6? I’m doing a gear reduction too and want to ensure I got the right part.
