Precedent won’t go faster than 7mph
I loan the precedent to a family member it rained hard and forgot to put the windshield up . Batteries read 51 at on then 48 when you it the pedal. It’s start to go @ half way but I only reach 7mph with the magnet I get about 19-20 stock. I also moved the cart back and forth and the alarm didn’t sound. Not sure if the mcor or the rear magnet sensor is bad . I got a PQ1050

Speed sensor on the end of the motor.

Re: Precedent won’t go faster than 7mph
When you say bad speed sensor? Would it be the magnet they installed when I purchase it?

Re: Precedent won’t go faster than 7mph
The magnet can break, which would give an erratic speed signal to the controller. Most often it is the sensor itself not reading anymore. You can pop the sensor off the end of the motor fairly easily and see if the magnet is still intact. If the magnet isn't broken in pieces, it's the sensor that's bad.

Re: Precedent won’t go faster than 7mph
Checked the magnet it’s good not broken I’m going to probably buy a new one could my problem be the mcor? And should I just convert it to the mcor4?

Re: Precedent won’t go faster than 7mph
The MCOR can be checked by leaving KS off and pumping pedal 10-15 times fast. Then try it. Though, it is probably not the MCOR causing this. No walkaway buzzer is the usually the speed sensor / magnet as discussed above. I had a 7 mph issue like that once and sprayed contact cleaner on the speed sensor connector and been fine since. Cheap fix if it works. Good luck

Re: Precedent won’t go faster than 7mph
Could be a bad speed sensor, or the solenoid has welded closed.
Speed sensor is more common, and most likely, especially if an aftermarket sensor was installed. |
