Default One Bad Battery

I have checked my batteries with a volt meter after 1 hour of being charged, and found that 3 batteries read 14.2 volts and one reads 13.1 volts. Just bought the cart (2008 Club Car) and was told that the batteries are 2 1/2 to 3 years old. Can you replace just the one battery??

What Kind of Battery is it? Does it have a date code? usually a letter and a number. What is it at after a full charge, Load test and do a hydrometer test. I usually dont recommend just one battery. But it can be done.

3 yr old 12v batteries are on their last year. It is not recommended to buy 1 as it will degrade quickly in the old pack... it is best to replace all of them

Don't mean to steal this thread.....but, Scotty B, please explain "3 year old 12V batteries are on their last year." I have '08 T 1275 Trojans that will finally need to be replaced this year. They have served me well!

Please post the date codes, 1 number and one letter, and the voltage readings after the full charge cycle is completed.

Then we can better help you with your replacement decision.

I hit up everyone I could find on craigslist and online searches that sold golf cart batteries. I asked if they had a decent used one that I could buy. I found one for $40. I am sure I'm not back to 100% but I can drive it until by butt is sore and appear to have full power. I kicked the can down the road a little bit on buying new batteries.
