Re: Anyone get their cart Florida Street Legal?
Very nice looking cart Mike. I'm also a fur kid lover and that's one of the main reasons we have a Diesel Pusher and the Cart! The Fur Kids love both and we love taking them on all our camping trips as well as rides on the cart!

Re: Anyone get their cart Florida Street Legal?
I originally built mine for cruisin parts around the pits, but my 2 goldens loved rides so much I went and got it street legal, now we go for about a 2 mile ride around the neighborhood after work everyday ! Theyre hooked

Re: Anyone get their cart Florida Street Legal?
BRS, call DMV 561-640-6820 and let them know you are looking for the forms for converting a Golf cart into an LSV. They'll mail you the forms and ask you if you'd like to make an appointment for an inspection. I let them know my cart wasn't ready and would call back to schedule an appointment later.

Re: Anyone get their cart Florida Street Legal?
Scuba Bud, It took about 3 weeks to get my appointment. It actually pushed me to finish.
BRS, Im in North Palm Beach and they have a nasty habit of impounding carts if your caught on the roads. Now I purposely cruise on by were they sit, Oh ya and wave !!! Mike |

Re: Anyone get their cart Florida Street Legal?
Jim, The tires are supposed to be DOT, that being said they (DOT inspector) did not check mine, and mine look nothing like street tires. And I know the police will never check unless your lucky enough to get stopped by State or DOT and piss them off... Mike
Sorry for the vague answer, Thats just my experience. |
