Default Anyone got a good trick to get stains and scuffs off the arm rests? Club car DS

I’m in the process of restoring my cart and the armrests are gross. Anyone got some suggestions? Was thinking of a magic eraser but wanted to hear some opinions before I spend the money.

My rule is to use the least aggressive method and work up from there. Cleaning hard plastic can get downright annoying. Many products will cause the plastic to become dull and lifeless.
I start with Dawn dish washing liquid straight out of the bottle with a damp rag or sponge to remove grime buildup. If that doesn't work I move to Simple Green which is safe for plastics. Wash and rinse well, let it dry. If this fails I move to my secret weapon - Tuff Stuff. I buy it at Dollar General, automotive/paint section. Darnedest stuff I've ever seen. Only product I've found that be used on painted surfaces as well as plastics and will not dull or damage the surface. When I say painted surfaces I'm talking about kitchen cabinets, for example. You can use a Magic Eraser, the one for Kitchens, with the Tuff Stuff, but be careful. Magic Eraser is just ground up and refined steel wool. It will scratch soft plastics for sure and remove the gloss off most things if you get carried away.
The other day, I used Tuff Stuff to clean the seats, armrests, front console, inside the roof, steering wheel and even the windshield on my Precedent before I washed it. However, he was unusually dirty from sitting in the garage for over a year.
Hope this helps you.

After you get them clean, use DOT5 Silicone Brake Fluid to make the black plastic look liker new.
