What's a good lower buck setup?
I'm wanting to upgrade my 2001 Club Car 48 volt for more performance without spending too much money. I have it running on a 300 amp Curtis controller and swapped in a 36 volt motor but with the rear seat and 22x12.50 tires it still can't make it all the way out of the pond on occasion.
I don't know much about souping these up but was thinking a 48 volt Logisystems 700 amp controller and leave the 36 volt motor. How's this for a setup? How do you know if the cart has a 5K-0 throttle input? |

Generally speaking, EZGO use 0-5k and club car 5k-0. If your cart has a pot box it's 5k -0. If you replace controller and pot box at same time just match them up with each other.

Re: What's a good lower buck setup?
I have a logisystem 700amp controller and I don't think you need that much amps for your application. Your motor will not absorb/take/use 700 amps. A 4-500 amp controller should power you up the hills. Keep the 36v motor on 48v. Higher amp controllers give you more torque, thats what gives you pulling power.
