Default 2005 cc Precedent

Hi all, I'm new here cool forum. I just picked up a 2005 CC Precedent
with 2008 Trojans in it. Last night the battery light came on so I stuck it on a charger. Today when I went to drive it ( maybe a mile) I pulled back into the garage and the light came back on. It will shut off and then about ten seconds later it comes back on. I did notice one of the cables was really warm. Three of the batteries measured 11.94 volts and the fourth measured 12.01.
Where should I start?

welcome to BGW.....start with the batteries were those readings after a full complete charge? if so not good.....the cable you can try swapping it with another one and see if the heat follows if so get new cables.............charge the cart let it sit several hours than check voltage and load test if you can.................post #,s.............................

Ok I will start there I don't have a load tester, but I will swap the wire and see if it still heats up ( good idea). Thanks

I put it in the budget for new batteries if it needed so it won't be the end of the world if they do have to be replaced.

I'm pretty excited wanted one for about 20 years now. I just sold our boat and seemed like the right thing to invest in. The kids are loving it so far.
