Question 0-200V 500A DC Digital Voltmeter Ammeter

Has anyone used one of these to watch/monitor your Amps and Volts running to their controller?

https://ebay.us/h1T6lA

Any thoughts on this?
Have any other suggestions on something different?

Thanks in advance,
Stephen

Would work on a 36v buggy but check the IP rating. Golf carts get wet.

Not too worried about the IP Rating, I can get around that. Silicone is my friend.

You say it might work for a 36v .... so you don't think it would work for a 48V?

Just wanting something so that when I am cruising around, I could see what amps my Alltrax XCT500 is pulling on my 48V ParCar.

Full charged 48v pack is 51.5-52 volts. The link you provided is for a 50vdc meter. I guess you COULD silicone up the face so water can't get under the lens. I use a Blue Sea volt/amp meter, model 8236 and it is very accurate. But you would be very lucky to find one for 13.95$

Ahhh ... I guess when I saw the Measuring Range of 0-200VDC, I thought it would work. Now I see the Display Range of 0-50VDC. I missed that part.

I did see your post of your Blue Sea, but I think (IMHO) that WELL Over $200 for something so simple is an outrages amount. I could duct-tape a Fluke MM up there cheaper than that.

Thanks for your input and your honesty. I really appreciate it. I do.
For that much of an asking price ... I may have to just forget about it.
I know what I have posted was some cheap overseas electronics, but everything else I have found so far in the $50-$70 range is only for up to 100A.

I just thought I would put it out there and see what others thought.

Cheers.

I understand. I think I paid about 100$ for mine. It was surplus on ebay. If you keep your eye open, a deal on NOS might come along.

There is something strange about those specifications, in particular:
Quote:
--Power supply DC 4.5V - 30V range (Attention: The maximum of input voltage cannot be exceed of 30V, otherwise would be burnt)
--Display Range: DC 0V - 50V 0-500A (Please don't exceed the range)
--Measuring Range: DC 0V - 200V (Resolution: 1V)
So, for power supply you could power it from your reducer so that you don't exceed the 30V input but if the measuring range is 0V-200V why is the display range only to 50V? How does it display the rest of the range to 200V?

I'm kinda wondering the same thing.

I am guessing it has 2 ranges You can select:
0.0v to 50.0v with 0.1v resolution or 0v to 200v with 1v resolution.
