Battery brands
Is there any consensus among the 'experts' of the best battery, assuming between US and Trojan?

Re: Battery brands
You will find advocates in both camps. When I was looking to buy a new pack my research seemed to show both of these manufacturers were top notch and well respected, perhaps the top 2 out there. In the end I went with Trojan only because I found a good price not too far from home.

Re: Battery brands
Not an 'expert' but I have been using Trojan off brand Powertrons on the 3 carts I maintain and really like them. I can get 8v for $89 each and 6v for around $75 or so
To me they run strong, charge well, and hold their charge even if it's a few weeks between getting down to run the cart. |

Crowns are also a very good battery that we’ve been using for years now

Re: Battery brands
Here the Powertrons are $83 for 6v and $91 for 8v. No tax and 18 month warranty from the store.

Only time will tell if Trojan can maintain it's reputation:
