Angry Differance in 94-99 and 2000 up E-Z-GO rear bodies?

I just purchased a rear bumper(long) from a 94-99 to install on my 05 TXT. Now I just received it and went to install it only to find out it fits like crap, there is about a half inch gap on both ends toward the back side of the rear wheels. Now my question is, what is the difference in those year rear bodies? They look identical in pics, I'm wondering if its just because the bumper is an aftermarket version of the stocker. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

None......... except for the back of the back fenders where the Wide Bumper would fit.

I have a 96 with a 02 bumper on it. the short bumper. They fit great this way, but not so good the other way around.

Exactly what I needed to know, thanks!

So I can fit a 96-99 body on my 05?

This sucks that they trimmed some off the bottom of the fenders, I like the look of the long bumper better.

I cant stand this gap!

Rusty, do you have any close-up pics of that area?

Sure don't. Once I put the new bumper on it, it was then history.

No, I mean of the body with the short bumper, so I can compare it to newer bodies with the short bumper.

There is a body line about 3/4'' above the bottom of the rear body, does your line go straight across to the wheel area?

Oooops!
With camera in hand, I went to shoot a couple of pictures of it and couldn't find the screw hole for the "wrap around" part of the bumper. Then I realized this is not the body that came on it. I did put another body on it at one time and it was obviously a newer body.

This is not going to help you, if I understand it right......???? Newer body and newer bumper.
