Default vanguard 18hp ignition problem

hey everyone, i got a issue with my vanguard v twin 18hp ignition, i started with a 18hp short block and added 16hp heads with thin head gaskets, also removed governor and installed rev kit, put it all together and installed in my cart, my problem is that cyl 2 is has no spark, i swapped coils and still no spark on cyl 2, i noticed that when it was running that i was not able to shut it off by grounding the coils to block, so for shits and giggles i unhooked both kill wires from the coils and ran engine and it now has spark on both cyls and runs fine, so i put a new wire from coils to my kill switch and the same thing happend again, cyl 2 has no spark and as soon as i take the kill wire off the coil it runs fine, my kill wire is not attached to anything at the moment so that eliminates any bad wiring or switch, i dont know what could be the problem, i have 205 psi on cyl 1 and 200 psi on cyl 2 when i checked compression, any help would be appreciated

Yes the wire that connects the 2 coils is referred to as the diode harness. If one of the diodes fail it can make strange things happen.
