Default Roof Painting Question

OK, before I bring this up to the hubby too much, I would like to have my roof painted red. We are doing everything ourselves for this project and I am wondering what is the best thing for us to use on that plastic? Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

Not sure what the best paint is, but don't take ant short cuts with prep and temperature conditions when painting. I would use some sort of cleaning solvent to prep it with. I have seen two different roofs start peeling with in months after painting. One was mine but I painted it in 30 degree whether. The top is flexible so you better do as good as job as possible,

Most of the Yamaha and CC roofs are really flimsy and paint will chip off. sand ,prep and apply adhesion promoter before paint. Use aerosol plastic paint and you can touch up pretty easy.

Thanks. I know I need to wait for warmer weather...don't think the temperature in the teens will help my case at all. Our roofs are actually the ones that came with the G22's (if the type of roof helps with the question any), hubby is going to modify it to fit ours. Would love to hear the reply's if anyone has tried that rustoleum stuff mentioned though :)

Are they fiberglass or plastic? On plastic we paint with Krylon spray paint for plastic. Works good clean with a solvent soaked rag, let dry, spray. Enjoy!

I painted mine with a truck bed liner spray I found at walmart. It takes about 2.5 cans to do each side. The liner is black but it may come in different colors.

The Kyrlon is not cheap but it is specifically formulated to chemically etch into the plastic so there is never a bonding problem
