Thanks for the comments all.

Davetm, yeah, it's a bit of crazy thing. For me it just made sense to go lithium from the get. Free cart, building it for hunting and property maintenance. Less maintenance issues.

So, help me out a little with the leaf batteries. I see....or I think what I see is each individual battery has a voltage of 7.6-V. So, in order to get to 48-V I would need (7.6v x 7)= 53.2-V.

So, I would need to acquire 7 leaf cells. Is this right?

Thanks Dave

Davetm, yeah, most people that I have seen are going with the 7 leafs setup. I decided to go with 14 to up the amp hour/range. The guy I ordered from also had a 12 battery setup, gets you a little less voltage but good range.

I just ordered mine, have not received it, let alone run it yet. Maybe these other guys who have already been running theirs can give you advice, as I am learning as I go.

Would you be able to provide some measurements of your pack? L x W x H

I ordered the same amount of cells and want to start building the base plate for the battery box.

Jkerle, I believe it is 19.50" x 8.75" x 12". I'll remeasure it later this morning and give you accurate measurements. I'm just now getting to the point of figuring out how to mount it in the cart. Mine, being a previous gas and not having a plastic tub, is a little bit of a different animal.

Awesome! That sounds extremely small! I was expecting the length to be closer to 24in. I was worried about space but hell I'll have plenty of room.

Indeed you have your work cut out for you. If you have a local cart shop I check to see if they have a battery tub laying around. If they get a "bad" one covered in acid they may not take the time to clean it vrs replacing it. Just a thought. Another option might be a Craig's list diamond plate bed box that would be cool! I see them for cheap all the time!

So here are the measurements: 19" long x 8.75" wide x 12.75" tall

That is just the battery pack itself, not including the fasteners

Thanks! Is the height measurement with the terminals on top?

That's seems so small what are the ah ratings of each module? The ones I purchased were 66ah new. I would think the size would change based on the ah rating.
