eBay lithium batteries
Hi,
Has anyone tried the EBay 12v 100ah lithium batteries in their 48v cart? $365 Aud each seems like a good price in Australia. |

Re: eBay lithium batteries
You don’t want 4 x 12v lithium batteries in your cart, you want 1 x 48v battery.
Lithium cells need to be balanced and you cannot efficiency balance 4 batteries with 4 cells each. The difference is that each of those 4 12v batteries will have their own 4 cell Battery Management System (BMS), what you really need is one 16 cell BMS managing the entire pack. Also check that any battery you purchase can supply the continuous and peak currents required by your cart. I doubt a 365aud battery will be able to do that. I also very much doubt you will get the rated 100Ah capacity as well. As they say, you get what you pay for. Cheers Pat. |
