Question 1st Mod- What Light Kit?

So, I've got an 36V 1999 EZGO Rear Seat TXT Series with no lights.
My neighborhood doesn't require street legal (for now), but if I'm going to a light kit, I thought I'd go street legal. The MadJax kit looks good, but so does East Coast Custom's kits, the LED one.

I just saw a custom cart with those tail lights that have the purple dot in the middle. (like a Hot Rod)
I thought those were cool so I'm not sure I want to cut big holes in my TXT if later I decide to go to a smaller custom light.

Maybe I just do a cheap ATV light kit for now or something like that?

Any wise words of wisdom here would be appreciated! I'm confused.
(something like "hey man, I did the MadJax Kit and never regretted it")

Thanks!!!!!!

I play in traffic on city streets quite a bit, so I wanted turn signals and brake lights, but didn't want to cut holes in the body, so I went with the Tecscan LiTESeasy system.

+1 on the LiTESeasy system. It is completely plug and play. It doesn't get any easier. I already had the EZGO lights and I still use them for marker lights. My future plans are to add a small flood pattern LED light bar for more forward lighting. At 12-15 mph the LiTESeasy headlight bar may be sufficient, but at 20-25 mph, it falls a little short.

Their turn signal and brake light system work very well and are very visible to other traffic. The kit even comes with a horn.

Tecscan ordered with the upgraded LED Headlight. What sold me was the extra switch to control a separate accessory like a Radio, Reverse Light, LED side markers, etc. I'll just need to stay within spec of the cap of the control box.

I just installed the tecscan liteseasy kit on my 74 HD cart, I think its great. Very low power draw, 3.8 watts, I to didn't want to cut holes in the fiberglass, there is also an auxiliary function that I did add another set of fog led spots on the front , as I drive around on some dark country roads @ night. If I had to choose again A would pick the same kit. The plug and play makes it nice, far less wire to run and no micro switches to wire up a adjust. You can find these kits on flebay. Good luck

I'm glad to see that Tecscan is offering a brighter headlight option, but 380 lumen still isn't much. I can't find any info stating how many lumen the standard light is, but it has to be worth the extra $15 for the brighter light. I wish that was an option when I ordered my kit in July, but I have another solution on the way. Yesterday I ordered a pair of 8" 36 watt(2650 lumen) flood beam light bars on ebay for under $60. One of them is for the cart and the other is for the garden tractor for snow plow duty.

Yeah, I know an LED light strip won't get me through the forest, but I plan on adding some nice Fog Lights to the cart.
My hopes are that the LED strip is bright enough for the streets in my hood.
The best part is knowing that when my daughter is driving the cart, she'll have a little added safety with this light kit.

I put these tape reflectors on the cart also. Same reason. I have daughters that drive this cart a lot. Carts and cars mix it up a lot in my area. I noticed all the new carts come with them from the factory.
