Default Need to pick a lift kit and suspension Upgrade

Ok folks,

I got my little buggy running today ( 1990 36V Electric Club Car ). Now its time for some suspension work and a new body....mine is busted up pretty bad.

Anyway, I would like to ask for your advice on which lift kit to get...

Looking for something in the 6"-8" inch range. I would also like to stiffen the thing up pretty well. It is bone stock right now. I am a pretty big guy and will be loading this thing out with some gun racks and shotgun shells,,ice cest etc. I really dont want it so "mushy" but dont know squat about what is out there. I am a car guy and have no issues doing it myself just need some expertise on which kit is the best to get a great ride, firm suspension, and no sterring issues....

I could also use some help on what is available for increasing the torque and speed in the future.

You'll get the best ride with a long travel.

Call allsports and tell them what you want to use it for and what the load will be and they will set you up with one good ride

Cool.......

What about a High torque and high speed motor..... Is there any such animal? If so, where should I look and what else will I have to do besides a good set of cables to make it work reliably? I just bought the 6 volt batteries so i think I will stay with the 36 volt system but would really like a little more speed and torque.

Pretty sure yours is a resistor cart? If that is true then an upgrade to solid state speed control would be in order. And with that the natural uprade is to 48v. Keep the stock motor run on more voltage and get more torque and speed. +/- about 30%

Man I wish I had known that today before I bought 6 new batteries. I guess I should have just purchased some 8 volts and upgraded...Oh well. I will work on the other stuff for now and get some use out of them.

Lift kit and tires will be ordered this week if I can make up my mind. I found a new body at the cart center that I bought the batteries from. Gonna pick it up tomorrow and strip the whole thing down for cleaning / painting / lift kit this weekend. I had no idea these things had so many options / upgrades. I used to build drag cars and got out of it due to the expense.....this may be a "lower" cost addiction......

You can add 2 more 6v in the bagwell and have 48v and more lead

Well, didnt think about that. What other mods would i need to make other than the charger for a 48 volt?
