2 ways on the G1, it can limit the throttle travel which can be adjusted but it is also centifical so even eliminating the outer portion will only gain so much. they can be removed but requires the diff to be split. No sure how much youd gain as i doubt the G1 engine could produce enough power in that high of an rpm range to make it worth it

My stock G1 with Plowman's kit did 30 mph. Just sayin, from 12mph to 30 mph is quite a bit to be gained.

Tomorrow I am going to drill the "D" out on the diff govenor arm and weld a washer on the shaft like everyone talks about.
Is there anything i have to do with the arm after that ?
Like a spring ?
Thanks guys for the help I'm new to the cart scene.

what i was saying was after bypassing the outer portion of the governor the G1 engine isnt going to produce enough power to make it worth going internally of the differential. But yes you can get alot more speed than stock out of it

im guessing they used the centrifical portion of governor to keep it from over running going downhill.

No I'm not , completly removed and welded up holes in header. Also plugged exhaust hose. (I'm assuming that was for oil pump)?
Thanks
