Default Predator 670 Harbor Freight

Has anyone installed this engine? Any feedback on how it runs? http://www.harborfreight.com/engines...epa-61614.html

We are trying to figure it out but there are different ones. Vegas carts ran one and it didn't work that well without the governor. Others have seen ones with different carbs though, some can take clone parts but some not. I would guess they work fine stock, we are trying to figure out what ones you can mod or at least put a rev kit on and have no issues.

Anyone know the charging system on this motor? I called HF tech line and I got a guy that said 7amps but he sounded like a kid just answering phones... I would think theis motor would come with at least a 16amp charging system.

Also, anyone know how to adjust the idle so the cart can be put into gear without engaging the clutch?

You'll likely have to adjust the clutch to allow idling.

What clutch are you using?

Comet 780 if I go with that motor. I thought about stepping down the jets as well, but don't know if that will help or result in the motor running wrong

If you get the 780 from cart parts plus it has an engagement around 1700 rpm. It will be no problem to shift it into gear. That is the clutch I am using with my briggs V-twin.
