Default Re: Battery maintainer????

The other thing is that I have solar panels at home so when I do the main charge after golf the sun is still shining and I'm generating my own power - free power to the cart.

And you're right, cleaning the terminals, testing for tightness and damage as well as cleaning the battery tops are all part of the maintenance routine.

My cart will sit unused for 3 months over the winter. Should I charge completely with DPI then remove it and maintain with Battery saver only or can I leave both the DPI and maintainers connected?

Winter, what's that? I don't have any experience with storing a cart over winter so it would be better to get an answer from someone who lives in a cold place. If you can check the water levels then you can hook up the maintainer (only the maintainer, not both) but if you are away from the cart and cannot check the water levels then the maintainer might cause them to go down before you can get back to the cart.
