Default Jakes disc brakes squeeking

Installed Jakes brake kit on my 2015 Yamaha drive G29. When driving with foot off brake, I hear and feel the pads rubbing off and on. With the G-29 I have to lock the foot brake when parking. Anybody had this issue ? Any ideas to eliminate the problem ?? Very irritating !

I installed the 10:5 gear for street use and love it !!

I made my own 4 wheel disc brake kit, using Club Car Carryall calipers, Honda civic rotors, and a wildwood master cylinder, my brakes have been rubbing and making noise, just discovered last night my brakes are really dragging, it is the master cylinder, once the brakes are applied, the piston isn't releasing, causing the brakes to stay somewhat pressurized. Ordered a new master cylinder today, but not sure what caused it to begin with.

Wink Re: Jakes disc brakes squeeking

Appreciate all the input....Spoke with tech at jakes...sanded the face of all the pads, to clean the protective film off of them that was originally on the rotors, and now they are working perfectly with no noise. Both of the installations were on street legal carts that run in excess of 30 mph. I consider them a must for emergency stops !
Note: I prefer the motor brake on my 08 RXV to the rear drum brakes on the 2015 Yamaha. I do not apply the brake on the RXV as you would a car, I just tap it, and let it slow the cart, the re -tap and apply for a full stop. Never had a problem in 7 years.

This is a fantastic site with good people.....Thanks

I think the Jakes brakes are micky mouse and not worth the money paid for them. I am not impressed with their resolution support either.
