Default No Solenoid click

Ok, First post here, Love the website so far.

1999 EZ GO TXT Series with F&R switch, solenoid and controller on passenger side under seat, of course. No tow switch.

Here is the scene. Golf cart was working great. Then it would just stop. Little later on would continue on. Done this several times over 2 weeks. I just decided to go ahead and chage out solenoid becuse I changed out F&R switch last year. Batteries are fully charged and reading 38 volts. Since new solenoid install, I'm getting nothing. No click at solenoid or reverse buzzer, NADA. I am 100% sure I got all wires hooked backed up correct. I took picture before and also compared to two other EZ GO's like mine.

I have checked several things I have read here on site so far but getting nowhere.

ANY suggestions, Please. Thanks in advance

Check the solenoid activation circuit, maybe a bad micro at the F&R or in the peddle box... here is the path of activation:

TXT solenoid activation circuit
Power starts on the White wire on the 36+ of the battery pack.
Power travels to the charger receptacle, goes through a reed switch inside the receptacle and comes out on the red 12 gauge red wire. ( check for power here, 1st!)
The red wire travels back through the loom to the Forward and reverse switch where it attaches to a micro.
The other side of that micro has a blue wire attached that runs under the cart to the front and arrives at the keyswitch.
The keyswitch then transfers power to a green wire which returns to the area of the Forward and Reverse switch.
the power then goes through a 4 pin Molex connector and travels to the "pedal Box" (located under the floorboard of the car) where it goes through a micro and comes out on another red wire.
That red wire comes back up to the Controller/F&R area where it once again goes through the 4 pin molex connector and continues on to the small post of the solenoid.

Hey Scotty,

Thanks alot man. I believe the reed switch was bad. I bypassed it and now I have a working reverse buzzer but still no solenoid click or movement of cart in forward or reverse. I'm still working on it though.

Update: I have now removed the pedal micro switch. Not getting power through it. Guess I'll stop for the day until I can get one.

JUST FOR A TEST ~ You can tape the two wires at the peddle micro together and see if it wants to run. Best to do this with one wheel jacked up off the floor. If the cart runs F&R then that is all you need
Caution = do not rev motor up on a jack it will disintegrate at high rpm.

Ok Scotty,

Problem not solved. Put on new micro pedal switch. Pushed gas pedal and the "square 4 wire" connector near the solenoid started shooting sparks and smoking. Now I need to repair some of those wires. Question is, Now where do I look? Thanks, Larry
