Newer TXT engine swap
Are there any products on the market that would allow a engine swap for a newer Ezgo TXT? I have a 2018 Ezgo TXT Valor with 13.5 HP Kawasaki that I would like to put in a bigger engine in.
I reached out to Vegas Cart and they replied they do not support the newer TXT. Top speed is fine with the governor deactivated. Climbing hills is slow. |

Re: Newer TXT engine swap
What kind of performance are you looking for?
What's your budget? I don't know of any "bolt in kit's" for that cart, it's too new. Most engine swaps occur in older carts because the engines are tired/worn out. That engine can be improved if you know your way around a 4 stroke engine. Most of the old school hot rod tricks will work with good results. 1. Shaved head - more compression 2. Port and polish head - better flow 3. Carb upgrade - more air in, more fuel in It's possible with these mods you could net 15%-20% power increase. Also, there are mods you can do to the drive and driven clutches to get more performance. If you just need more hill power, this will definitely help. |
