G1 Gas Ratio & Oil Pump
Since I have to change the crank seals anyways, figure while I'm down there, on the clutch side, might as well disable or remove the oil pump and just use mixed fuel. Which ratio is the best to use? Ive seen everything from 1:40 to 1:300 mentioned for the oil to fuel ratio.
Now is the gear that overlaps the crank seal (under the clutch) the oil pump for the injector? (Image below borrowed from the crank seal post:) If so can the pump also be removed without compromising anything in the motor, or should I only remove the gear and leave everything else in place? (asking because I haven't pulled it apart yet) Thanks, Rich C. |
