Load test numbers / Question
Found a spot by the house last night where I could run the buggie up to a big concrete post, park a tire on it and jam the pedal without going anywhere - cart does NOT move at all like this.
Battery pack was about 75-80% when I did this, starting voltage around 49.5-50.0. Parked the front tire on the post and slowly over 3-4 seconds (in case it tried to climb the post) went to WOT. At WOT, full pack voltage went to 36.2 for 2-3 seconds until the tires started spinning and then went up to 43-45. Did this twice for just a few seconds. Thoughts on these numbers? |

Re: Load test numbers / Question
I'm just paranoid about getting left in the woods - it's a looong walk back to camp and with a prosthetic leg... you get the idea. Cart runs great on flat pavement. I live in South Louisiana so the biggest hill I have is my driveway or a speed bump. We did 21 miles or so the other night around the neighborhood and still had quite a bit of charge left. But that isn't woods, mud, gravel, muck and much harder conditions for the motor/controller/pack to handle I am assuming.
I am getting 20MPH when fully charged, and 18-19 MPH when I reach 90% and less. Stock motor and gears, 48V, 22" tires. I run them overinflated to 12PSI. I did the math and this seems to be right where the cart should be. About to send the motor of to PQ for the Bandit upgrade as well I had actually kicked the idea around of attaching my tow strap to my truck and seeing how far the voltage dropped at WOT Again, only for a few seconds... so is completely stalled for 2-3 seconds really that bad? BTW - at full charge after resting 12 hours pack read 51.3-51.6 |
