Default What do i check next?

I have a 96' ez go marathon that has @38v on batteries at the silenoid and 32.5v on the controller side of the silenoid. The resistor on top of the controller is broken. Will this make the cart jerk and nothing else when i press the petal?

Voltage on both sides of the solenoid should be very close to equal when the accellerator is pressed down. If you are losing almost 6 volts through the solenoid, I would start there. As for the resistor on the top of the controller, if it's a yellow round one about the size of a quarter, just finish removing it and don't worry about it.

that broken resistor is why the contacts in the solenoid have arced and now present so much resistance. so when you replace your solenoid please replace the resistor and diode also.

I thought he was talking about the resistor on the top of the controller, not the one on the solenoid itself?
