CLub Car Precedent Winter Storage
Hey guys first post here but have lurked and received a ton a usefull information here. Best forum of its kind. I have a 2006 Precedent that I am putting brand new trojan batteries in. I'm in North Dakota and it will soon be time for winter storage. Is it best to leave it on the charger all winter? If it is on the charger do I leave it on run and switch it to tow? Or is it better to fully charge and then disconnect? Thanks in advance for the help.
I was a walker for many years but with 3 kids and another on the way, it was time to take the older two to the course with me. |

Do you have the Charger Manual which came with it. The Power Drive and Power Drive Plus chargers on the older DS carts are made to be left on the cart and plugged in . The charger has a timing Circuit in it which causes it to come on every XX days and check pack Voltage then charge as needed.
I would be surprised if this were not carried forward to the Precedents. |

The Power Drive for the Precedent will come on and charge as needed every 10 days or so. Doesn't really matter what position you leave the switch. The biggest worry is monitoring the electrolyte levels during storage. Hopefully you'll peek at the batteries every now and again to make sure they are full.
We don't have much of a winter down here..... |

I always disconnected the batteries for the winter! (the cart was left "unattended" for 4-5 months)

Its the powerdrive plus charger. I plan to bring from the country club storage and storing it in my unheated warehouse at work. So I will be able to check on it often. So according to the manual it is better to leave it plugged in. Thanks for the help guys.
