Default Info on cart model and year

Screwed up on first post! posted to wrong thread. Hope this is the right forum.
Ok you old salts, this is my first question of many yet to come. I began replacing the old battery cables with 4 gage wire and brass terminals and put new batteries in the cart. It runs both the forward and reverse, however, the resistors seem to get red hot. Do they need to be replaced? While replacing the cables and batteries, I found a plate on the fender behind the driver, couldn't read all of the words but what I was able to copy was the following: Top line- Model X440-13, Middle Line- Man____ 684X1334 and Bottom line ? 468-156. Any help in interpertation? Thanks in advance!
