Custom Yamaha G2 lift
I'm building a custom lift for my Yamaha G2 because there aren't any that can be bought to fit 26" tires. The biggest clearance problem appears to be the front rocker area. I was just looking at the front A-arms and it looks like several inches of clearance can be gained by swapping the A-arms left and right and flipping them over. That puts the angle going forward and pushes the tires away from the rockers. I'm not sure if this compromises strength or who knows what. It's kinda hard to explain what I'm doing, so I'll post some pics and let you pros have a look at it. Thanks!

Re: Custom Yamaha G2 lift
Here are some pictures. It took me about 5 minutes to swap them. That was just way to easy to do! What am I missing?
As you can see it gained several inches of lift just by reversing the A-arms. Next I'll have to take the spindles and switch them. Then make some drop plates and fab something to mount the coil overs to the A-arms. What do you think? In stock position Still stock After reversing them, it fits like a glove. Re: Custom Yamaha G2 lift
I decided not to do it. It would mess with the caster to much.

Re: Custom Yamaha G2 lift
yes it screws the caster. Just cut of the spindle mounts and turn to regain the caster. If you make a nice cut with a thin wheel or a sawzall you wont mess up the other settings. Just get the degree before the cut and make it the same but the other side of zero.
