Default Slow start

Have 91 EZGO Electric, cart was slow starting off, wouldn't go up small hill, was told I needed new batteries, had new batteries and cables installed. The cart is faster but still have problem with it taking off and climbing hills from a stop.

sounds like a weak motor to me, but then again, based on the limited information I have to work with, I could be off base.

Is this a controller cart or a resistor cart?
what size wires did you install?
what type/brand of batteries?
were the batteries fully charged before performing this test?
does the cart roll freely if you push it with one hand?

take a picture... we can instantly identify it from a pic of the components under the seat.

OK lets say it a resistor cart I'm having the same problem. Mine is a 1980 club car ( I know it was my dads ) I have two new no ids ,new batts ,new cables and very little power for any incline much less a real hill. Motor is original . I need more power. Would putting new brushes help (if that possible or should I get new motor?
Talked to the guy that sells the bandit motor and he says send him my old motor to be redone .he only has 48v motors so he would need mine is it worth it being that old ?

Thanks
David
