ya, the Kawasaki v twins are worse they have four different ends
straight 1", tapered, tapered with/keyway and splined

I know that 1" straight will work with the $500 comet clutch. What are the motor options for a someone who wants to strick with a stock clutch? Thanks PM.

i used the kawasaki engines a few yrs back like in Boo's cart, the 16 and 20hp engines came with the 30mm tapered shaft like on the ez go's, that engine was used in the john deere gators in the 90's. the new v-twin kohler generator engines are suppose to also have the 30mm taper! but i'm yet to see it in person. theres lots of kohler twins around here, the factory is 5 miles from my shop.

If the starter pulley is not needed good used sled comets are out there for 100 dollars.
1998 era artic cats used a oem branded comet. parts are easy and tuning is easy.
