Default comet spacer

ok just got my comet 780.fits good but looks like i need some sort of spacer,right?was it suppose to come with something or do i just figure something out

the clutch we use doesnt need a spacer

Actually all clutches need a spacer, Just some clutches have the spacer made on to them. However even then the way the crankshaft is made will determine clutch placement and with different engines different spacers are required to position clutch where you want it.

i figured a couple meaty washers and a peice of steel tubing,1.0 i.d. of course.should work right?

That would work, just make sure the tube wall is thick enough not to crush.
If possible, try to find a DOM tube and cut to size, or get it machined out of solid bar. My 2 cents...

we use the 1190/1195 comet clutch and theres no spacer need on the 23 briggs and 24 honda

we like running this bigger clutch with a briggs with cams and rev kit 25" tall tires we have gps at 45mph on our limo carts

this is what i used its called a lock collar, i bought it at a bearing specialist store. kaman bearings...
