Re: Voltage reducer not putting out 12 volts
How many wires are coming out of your reducer? Did you connect the red wire and red wire with white stripe to the same battery post?

Re: Voltage reducer not putting out 12 volts
There should only be two wires total connected to your pack. One positive and one negative. The remaining wires are the voltage output positive and negative and the keyed wire which connects to the 48 v output on the key switch....and a constant 12v for some models.

Re: Voltage reducer not putting out 12 volts
So would the yellow and black connect to my light harness and the re with white stripe to the key switch since the other red has the inline fuse

Re: Voltage reducer not putting out 12 volts
The red inline fuse is likely the 48v source voltage input. The Black is likely the 48v negative input. The red/white wire is either a constant 12 volt or a keyed on and off switch. The yellow and black are likely the 12v output.

Re: Voltage reducer not putting out 12 volts
Do you have the wiring diagram the reducer came with? That would make all of this much easier to figure out.

Re: Voltage reducer not putting out 12 volts
Most reducers I have used, have a yel (48v+ and fused), blk (48v- & 12v-), red (12v+) green (trigger to KS) and blue (constant 12v+ for radio memory - low amps). Like E36Racer said, where are the instructions that came with it?
