2011 factory refurbished?
New member but have been checking out the forum for a few weeks. I just gave a deposit on a 2011 gas ezgo. The seller says it is factory refurbished including new engine and clutch. Everything on it looks like a brand new S4 except the frame. Is factory refurbished a real thing? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance Greg |

Re: 2011 factory refurbished?
As i recall. E-Z-go have a factory refurbishment scheme, or at least they did when i was active in buggy restoration. I recall that there where several level too, and one was to totally replace everything but the chassis/frame.

Not sure about a factory refurb but I do know they sell an engine/transmission kit that includes everything. That may be what your cart is the product of.. Sharp by the way

Every piece on the unit looks brand new. Takes some getting used to coming from electric.

Re: 2011 factory refurbished?
"Factory Refurbished" can also be a cart that has been refurbished by a dealer with the use of new "Factory" parts. I (not a dealer) have refurbished 2 EZGO carts, one electric the other gas. I went from ground up (including new pre-painted bodies) but "Rebuilt" some parts. I made up a list of "New" and another as "Rebuilt" parts lists to hand over to the buyer of the carts. Most dealers will identify as "Refurbished" or "Rebuilt". I am not aware of a true "Factory Refurbished" program.

Re: 2011 factory refurbished?
Ezgo does have carts rebuilt per say. They will take a fleet returning from a lease and send them to one of their "rebuilders". They strip the cart to almost the frame, pressure wash, paint and put all new parts back on in whatever configuration the new lessor wants. Depending on the build, motors, controllers and other primary pieces may or may not be changed.
