Rear end bearing
Is this the right bearing for a 02 ezgo txt? The one that goes on the rear end between the motor and the rear end on the spline? Part #- 23520G1 BAll bearing input gear
If it is, do I need to do anything before install or just slide it on. Thanks guys |

Re: Rear end bearing
If that is the inside bearing, then yes that is the right one, the other bearing is a sealed unit. Put it on and go.

Re: Rear end bearing
There should be 2 bearings there. An inner (such as you have pictured) and an outter that is sealed. Once you remove the input shaft, the inner bearing is exposed (on the back side of the shaft) and you will see that you just remove the old and install the new. The gear oil inside the rear will lub the bearing, but I usually squirt a little lube on it to ease installation.

Re: Rear end bearing
oh ok. I didnt realize there were 2 bearings in there. I guess I should replace them both while im doing it. I changed the rear end fluid yesterday. Just trying to go over everything since it has never been messed with
Anyone have a part # for the sealed bearing I need or a bearing they want to sell me? Thanks guys |

Re: Rear end bearing
The Dana Axle manual from Ezgo calls that motor side bearing part #23519-G1
There should be a large O-ring seal behind it ... I have no # for it? It is indicated in that picture as #19&20. Two #s because it comes in thick or thin.... |

Re: Rear end bearing
:I guess I will just take motor off and start pulling parts. Once I get whatever bearings out I can I will run them up to the parts store and try and get new ones. Either it will go smooth or I will learn the hard way Im always up for learning something (easy or hard way )
Once I get bearings replaced, its on to the brakes. I know they are shot |

Re: Rear end bearing
On my cart, 98 txt the spline bearing is a 6005 and the other bearing is a 6203. These are standard bearing and easily available at most auto parts places for about $10 or $12 dollars. Make sure the spline side has rubber dust seals not steel dust shields, the numbers above will need the appropriate suffix added to them like 6005rs. the suffix indicates the type of seal. I think the rubber seal is better for keeping the oil from leaking out.
