Default Aftermarket Lifted sled/ motor cradle

While on a evening romp thru the neighborhood the sled snapped in two just behind engine. I posted this before but i dont see thread in my stuff so posting again. Im guessing the aftermarket sled/cradles cant handle the weight of 670 predator motors.

Actually, From the looks of the second picture, Your problem is more with rust than torque.........

yea, sorry, that doesn't look anywhere close to being two months old....
Newer cheaper/thinner tubing maybe but even Chinese junk doesn't rust in 2 months.

Sometimes these kind of parts rust from the inside out. Seems they don't coat the inside of the pipes. I use Fluid Film on my vehicles, great product, been using it for years on my equipment like snowplows too. You can get a long reach flexible wand with a 360 degree nozzle to get up in those long tubes.

Fluid film, I'll look into it. Was thinking maybe filling pipe with concrete or maybe spray foam and adding some rubber mounts under motor

Spray foam isn't waterproof. I work on hot tubs, ask me how I know lol. Fill with concrete? Don't do that. Obviously there was either some design flaw or some damage to that steel. I'd be looking at adding some reinforcement gussets or sleeve-ing the pipe and do plug welds.

Where did you get that mount from?
