Default Changing the drive belt question

'88 par car

How do I change the drive belt? Do I disassemble the driven clutch?

It should just roll off the driven clutch away from the transaxle and then just take it off the drive clutch.

You don't. You have to have the right size belt.

87 EZGO 2 stroke new drive belt (same size as the old one) too tight to roll onto the driven clutch by hand. New drive and driven clutches (both from Amazon).
Couldn’t find any video showing mounting on the 2 strokes but those showing 4 stroke belt mounting showed no such tightness…. they slipped on easily? All feedback advice welcomed. Thank you

I am not trying to be a wiseguy but if the new belt is the same size as the old one how did you get the old one off? Or did the old belt break maybe?

New belts will be a bit tougher to get on / off then old ones. It shouldn't be that hard, though. Right when you get to the "too tight" phase, have someone push the cart to help get you some more "oomph" to get that thing on.

Ultimately, if the new belt 100% won't go on then it's likely the wrong belt.
