Stupid EZGO Fuel Line Clamps
I have a 2017 EZGO Valor here and I am wondering how you guys replace the fuel filters on these? Some genius thought it was a good idea to use pex style pinch clamps on the fuel lines instead of the normal spring type clamps or even worm gear clamps. I typically cut these stupid things off and put normal, serviceable clamps in their place. I'm just looking to see what you guys do. TIA.

Re: Stupid EZGO Fuel Line Clamps
On all of my atvs, snowmobiles, and every golf cart I have owned - I have replaced the fuel lines with blue clear fuel line in size 3/16"
stick needle nose pliers in to the end of the line and stretch it out, then turn the pliers 90 degrees, stretch it out that direction, then slide your hose onto your fuel outlet, or filter, etc. however there are varying degrees of blue fuel line in terms of quality. I got stuff from a local polaris dealer that was flexible enough that you could remove it after riding, and put it back on. Some of the stuff ive bought in 5' lengths from rural king has gotten stiff after I put it on. Which isn't the end of the world, and maybe the golf cart fuel line just got hotter since its ran during the summer vs the winter. Its pretty cheap regardless so If i have to replace some I don't worry about it. But I never have to mess with clamps and thats worth it for me |
