Harley Davidson electric motor DE40
I am in search of an electric motor for a 76-78 harley davidson de40 cart. The motor I have is a AMF model DMH492-3. I am mainly in need of the brush holder for it, but I am willing to buy a complete motor.

emmmica, do you know if an EZ GO motor of about the same vintage that mounts the same (lengthwise on cart) way will work?

Yes an ezgo motor from the same vintage will work for me, if it mounts forward on the cart I believe they had the brake on the stub shaft out the brush side of the motor also.
