Default 2010 EXGO RXV lift kit options

Hello,

I'm looking to add some speed to my 2010 RXV. I'd like to get the most speed increase for my money (without losing torque). I've heard larger tires with a lift kit gives more comfort and speed. How much speed increase can I get from installing 23" tires. Is the resulting height increase still comfortable to ride in?

I've also heard installing a 8:1 speed gear will significantly boost speed, with a loss of torque. How do I compensate for the loss of Torque? No shops around me will do the gear change. How hard is it to do myself (I've only worked minimal amounts on the cart, but consider myself generally handy with DIY projects)?

I have a 2010 RXV with 23 inch tires and can go 26mph. it was already lifted when I got it, but I had the dealer I bought it fro program it for high speed. When I originally test drove it, it had 23 inch street tires. The ride was a lot better and quieter with those tires than the off road tires I have now. I think most people say lifting it reduces the ride quality.

I am sure I lost some torque with the programming and bigger tires loose torque, but I can haul 4 people total and go up hills and barely loose any speed. I got off roading almost every day on off road trails. I know some customized TXT etc probably have a lot more power, but I've enjoyed my RXV as configured. Good luck.

What did the dealer do to program it for high speed? My cart has the configuration that allows it to go 19 mph. If I put street tires on it would my speed by around 25 mph?

Also, did the street tires allow the cart to go faster than the off road ones?

No, I think its more of a function of the size of the tires.

From what I understand the max you will get with the stock size tires is 19. When you put bigger tires on there you will go faster. One full rotation of a bigger tire covers more ground than the small tire...so if they do the same rotations per second, the bigger tire will go faster.
