83 2pg sounds awful
Just bought this last weekend for a great price considering it fires right up and runs like a champ. But is it supposed to sound like this when I start it? Also is the belt supposed to have all that slack in it? As you can also see in the video I need a muffler gasket which im picking up tomorrow. I happen to be working in Augusta , Georgia in the ezgo capital of the world! Shouldn't have a problem getting parts for sure !

Hmm.. posting from my phone and it won't let me edit, I wanted to point out that it sounds like this after I patched a hole in the exhaust and bbq'd the muffler.

That almost sounds like there's still an exhaust leak somewhere or you've got an air leak...

Getting decent compression (97) .. does that rule out an air leak?

No. Good compression should be 125 or above.
