Cart won't move forward or reverse
Hello All,
Let me start off by saying I'm not mechanically inclined. That being said. I have a 1984 Club Car Last night I was playing a round of golf and after hitting my shot went to move forward and the cart reved made a loud clunk noise and then won't go forward or reverse after. In Foward or Reverse as well as nuetral the engine revs just fine sounds great, but the cart doesn't move. All I did was check the drive belt and that is good Hoping for help |

When it's reving up are the clutches spinning? If so are they both spinning?

I'm just guessing, but, I've seen it before... It's possible that your shifter cable broke.
The clunk you heard might be the shift lever on the trans-axle is stuck "in between" neutral and forward due to the broken cable, reving in neutral however, throws me off... it's not supposed to run in neutral!  |

also it could the woodruff key in the driven clutch, i have seen the center bolt come out and the key work its way out.......dosn,t happen a lot but if your cart is running and reving up thats one thing you can check ..............................
