Default 02 36v Ezgo txt dies very quick

Hey all, been awhile. Seems like my Ezgo is going dead pretty fast. I did the SR48400 Alltrax controller with 400 solenoid. heavy duty F&R switch. I upgraded the motor to a 6hp. 2 gauge wires throughout. The cart has a 12” lift with 23” tires and hauls 2-5 people. No matter how many people are on the cart it will only go about 2 miles on pretty flat road. Is it time to switch to 48V? I did change the throttle sensor, micro switch, and the 400 solenoid in hopes my problem would go away.

assuming you always keep your cart charged.....and always have, your batteries may be at their "end of life" and need to be replaced AND that is an EXCELENT time to upgrade to 48v!! thats what I did years ago when I was at the same point.

Since you need new batteries then YES, great time to upgrade to 48v.

Don't forget the 48v charger. It's possible your 36v charger wasn't fully charging your 36v pack and accelerated the death of your other pack, so you may have needed a charger anyway. A bad charger killed my last lead acid pack so I upgraded to Lithium then.

Do you have a wiring diagram of switching the charger port from 36v to 48v? I am in process of doing this over the weekend.
