Default G29 DC motor options

Looking for some feedback here…

I have a ‘14 g29.

Cart is lifted with mad Jax 6” a arm, 2ga cables, navitas 440a. Controller, New 8v lead acid batteries. With the stock solenoid and hitcachi motor I’m seeing about 20mph max.

I’m looking to upgrade the solenoid and motor to get some more speed.

Motor options I've seen are as follows:

Plum quick speed street riot ~$800
Admiral 10hp ~$700
D&D 170-500-0001 ~$500
Plo 55 ~$679

I’m not limited to these options they’re just what I’ve seen.

I’d like the cart to be as fast as possible without sacrificing reliability.

I run on flat pavement solo or with 1 other person 95% of the time.

What motor would you guys go with and why?

TIA

D&D - Solid design. Great reputation.
Plum - Is a D&D with purple paint

I don't know anything about the other two.

I have D&D in both of my Yamaha G29's. One is a high torque option because of the 9:1 gearing. Other is standard option with 12.5:1 gearing. Both are working fine. I don't have any experience with any other aftermarket motors for Yamaha.

This is interesting, how do I check which gearing I have?

I was able to count motor rotations vs wheel rotations (motor removed) but the high speed geared one said 9:1 written on the transaxle. Standard is 12.5:1 so that is most likely what you have. I don't know if the Navitas controller allows you to monitor motor RPM like my Alltrax but that is another option if it does. I verified ratios by comparing motor RPM to cart MPH. (math required :-) )

I have the Plowman Riot Kit

Great setup
Easy to install
Good Customer Support
Big increase in TQ which was my main concern with the hills we have.

Just this weekend I was hauling a 1yrd trailer of wood chips back and forth to the woods for trail improvements. The trailer weighs about 400lbs and it went up and down the steep hills without missing a beat.

I have a 6" lift with 23" tires.
