Default Ezgo series golf cart

I have a series older 1990’s early 2000 ezgo golf cart with Curtis 1206-3 controller! I have a feeling the wiring to fwd/ rev switch is wrong! It works but only wires connected to micro switches are blue, orange and the red white from charging receptacle! Green wire from controller is spliced into green wire from peddle switch! Anyone have any ideas?

Dubs I'm having similar issues with mine. Is your solenoid activating when you press the pedal down?

Cut your losses now! Now is a good time to install a Heavy Duty reversing contactor you'll be glad you did. Those antique lever switches are the number 1 biggest problem with series carts, unreliable.

Yes my solenoid clicks and it goes forward and backward but the wiring just seems wrong!

Like Capt. Lenny said.......go with a reversing contactor. It is worth every penny spent

no you do not.....but unless you upgrade to a 48v system....your cart will not be any faster.....but if you DO upgrade to 48v....you will increase your speed and torque by 33%. and your stock motor will run fine on 48v.

Are you referring to just a heavy duty f/r switch? When I looked up an EZGO HD reversing contactor that is what is coming up....

Thanks
