Default Confused about rattle can timing

I've been reading all of the threads about rattle can painting and I think I have all of the steps figured out but I can't find anything on the time between each step or what grit to use for sanding. I will be painting my EZGO soon and it sounds like Rustoleum is the way to go. Here's what I THINK I know so far:

1. Sand with What Grit?
2. Clean
3. Primer
4. Sand with What Grit?
5. Clean
6. Primer (how long between coats?)
7. Sand with What Grit?
8. Clean
9. Clean
10. Clean
11. Paint
12. Sand with What Grit?
13. Clean
14. Clean
15. Paint
16. Sand with What Grit?
17. Clean
18. Clean
19. Paint (how long between coats?)
20. Sand with What Grit?
21. Clean
22. Clean
23. Clear coat (how long after final paint coat?)
24. Wet sand with What Grit? (how long after clear coat?)
