Default G16 Stutter on Acceleration

Hi everyone,

2 summers ago, I got a great deal on a 1996 G16E. The kids had a blast on it for a summer, then the drive blew. I sent it to Casey at CAPS Service and he rebuilt it. About 3 weeks after reinstalling, the cart developed a stutter on acceleration from dead stop.

Fast forward through brand new batteries, brand new cables, took the commutator to the local motor house for turning down, installed new brushes, sent the drive back for rechecking (no problem)......and the stutter won't go away.

(I have jumped the solenoid with jumper cables with no change)

Strangely, it seems to vary. Some days, it bucks lots, some days almost not noticeable.

Once the cart is moving, there are no symptoms at all. It's just at low speed/starting from dead stop there is a stutter. (This weekend, the kids had to get off and push to get us going.....then no problems).

Where to go from here on a family budget?

Thanks!

I have the same issue with my 1998 G16. We’re you able to figure out the issue?

Check the connections on the F&R switch. Mine did the same thing and after I tightened the wires up, no problems
